Responsibilities: • Provides administrative support for the new product launch process and other engineering support or change activities. • Responsible for coordinating material requirements to meet customer requirements throughout launch process • Coordinates drawing reviews for part numbers and Bill of Materials regarding correctness and completeness, alignment with the Plant’s needs, before setting up in System. • Prioritize and manage workflow in the engineering change release process - Involve manager of issues relating to same. • Develop, maintain and distribute Product Launch Status Sheets, part and current program list to track new program part numbers, component status and overall program timing. • Follows Quality System procedures and requirements • Tracking of BOM status created by the plant’s PDM together • Initiates and updates related project documentation for all the launches within the Plant (Timing plans, MPT checklist). • Coordinates the materials availability for the line debugging, training and trials. • Follows up the achievement of final products PPAPs as part project milestone • Prioritize and manage workflow in the engineering change release process - Involve manager of issues relating to same. • Coordinates the Workshops related to the new product launches organized within the Plant. • Participates and supports the Design review meetings in order to assure alignment of product’s design vs production feasibility • Generate and update the Plant’s project timing based on the customer timing. • Assures the communication of all product , process required changes/updates, including the related costs, within the Plant’s team • Develop, maintain and distribute Product Launch Status Sheets, part and current program list to track new program part numbers, component status and overall program timing. • Organize and drive all the project related meetings within the Plant in order to reflect the update status of project launches • Coordinates new product launch materials and PPAPs to ensure successful launches. Responsibilities apply from the beginning of plant involvement through successful start of production (3 months after SOP). • Follows Quality System procedures and requirements. • Maintains professional and/or technical knowledge by actively participating in training and cross-training activities and assignments, reviewing materials or publications, and participating in professional organizations as applicable.
Candidate profile: • Education: College or university in a related field • Experience: Two to three years related experience and/or training. • Advantage: previous work experience in the automotive industry, particularly with occupant safety restraint systems and components. • Abilities: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Power-point. • English - good communication skills
