Responsibilities: •Generation and validation of restraint component models with FE programs •Correlation to test results and optimization of component performance •Carry out parameter studies, DOE or topology studies for component optimization •Biomechanical Data analysis and Film analysis •Simulation and evaluation of load cases of occupant restraint systems •Carry out parameter studies for the correlation of restraint systems •Correlation to test results and optimization of restaint system performance •Carry out parameter studies and DoE for system performance optimization •Analysis of test results (crash / sled / OoP) •Supports the Product Engineering with the component development and optimization •Creates and executes status presenations and participates in project meetings internally and at the customer • Actively participates in DFMEA and Design reviews •Counseling of the development teams with regard to practicability of use of numerical simulation for the respective task of the investigation •Coordinates the test setup of the relevant tests with the responsible Product / Systems Engineer •Technical project management of an occupant restraint system / occupant safety project if applicable Minimum requirements: • BS/MS degree in Engineering, Numerical Math or comparable subject • Language skills in local languag, Germain and English are mandatory • Knowledge of further foreign languages is desirable Education and
Experience Required: •Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the automotive or aeronautics sector •FE-Solver (ABAQUS, PamCrash, LS-DYNA, RADIOSS) Minimum 1 year with explicit or implicit solver (e.g. ABAQUS, PamCrash, LS-DYNA, RADIOSS and Madymo) oder / or •Minimum of 1 year experience in numerical simulation in the field of passive safety / occupant restraint systems / pedestrian protection •Experience with the Global Safety Regulations and consumers ratings •Background in Biomechanics and Accident Reconstruction •Sound knowledge regarding at least one of the expicit FE solvers PamCrash / LS-DYNA / ABAQUS / RADIOSS •Experience with the opterating systems in use (Windows / Unix / Linux OS) •Experience with the relevant pre and post processing tools (e.g. Hyperworks, Animator, Visual Environment, ..) •Knowledge in the field of occupant safety and / or vehicle crash including the relevant legislative and consumer test requirements •PC knowledge (MS-Office) •(Self-)motivation and team capability •Project management experience
